It was my last day at CEGEP Montmorency where I had studied Social Sciences for more than tow years. After this day to choice were left for me, I could continue my studies and go to the University McGgill. Or I could put aside school for a year, go travel abroad and live invaluable experiences.
Choice 1 : Go to McGill

Leaving my parents house.
In the summer before the school started I decided that it was time for me to go live on my own. I had one friend that offered me to come live with her in her apartment in Montreal or I could rent a dorm at the University.
Choice 1 : Accept to live in an apartment with my friend
Choice 2 : Rent a dorm
The perfect destination.
I choose to go see the world and take a break form school, but I still don't know where I should go. In the last few weeks, I have been in contact with an organization who helps young adult travel in Australia. They help you get a job in the country and made sure that travelers stay safe and are well-surrounded. Also, one of me friend found another institution that provided almost the same service as the one from Australia but it is in South Korea.
Choice 1 : Go to Australia
Choice 2 : Go to South Korea

The apartment life went wrong.
After a few moths of living with my friend I found out that she's a compulsive buyer and can even pay for the apartment. I end up paying for almost everything, doing crazy hours at my job but there still a lack of income. Also, my grades start to go down, then I lose my place has the straight A's student and eventually I am forced to move back with my parents because of the drudgery of this way of living.
Choice 1 : Sorry. Start again.
The roommate.
I have a roommate with me in my dorm. She seems nice and it' look like she would love for us to be friends, but I am afraid that it could distract me form school.
Choice 1 : Become friends with her
Choice 2 : I ignore her and focus on school instead

On my way to become a successful Anthropologist.
I chose well because not long after my roommate is being arrested for sexual harassment and sequestration on her previous roommate. After this event my days at the University are pretty good, I do a thoroughly work in school that end up getting me a vacant position as an intern in one of the most important groups of anthropologist in the world.
Choice 1 : Good job!

New friendship.
It isn't long before me and my new roommate become the best friend of the world, we have so much in common! During the week off we decided to go in her parents cabin just the to of us, but after two days she's starting to act all little bit strange. Like at night she comes into my room and watch me sleep. At one point I ask myself if I should leave this cabin because I am really starting to get scared of her.
Choice 1 : Leave while she's sleeping
Choice 2 : Stay
Leaving the cabin at night.
At night, I leave the cabin with a taxi. I never see this girl again, and I am always asking myself what would have happened if I had stayed.
Choice 1 : This was a close one!
In a horror movie.
My roommate becomes more and more scary and one day while I am sleeping she locked my door. I instantly wake up and start screaming and asking what the hell she's doing but all she does is laughing and telling me that I am never going to leave this place. After a week sequestered in this room, I find enough courage in me to confront my abuser and I finally knocked her out. I ran and call the police who arrived not long after and arrest my roommate. Years later, a Hollywood producer you have an interest in my story asks me if he can make a movie with it. I accept, the movie is a success and I end up really rich.
Choice 1 : At least at the end I was lucky.

After a week in South Korea.
It already been a week and me and my friend got in a really big fight. I don't particularly want to leave but this isn't working.

A big decision.
I decided to stay and luckily my friend and I found a way to solve our misunderstanding. My year in South Korean is soon coming to an end, and I am not sure if I am ready to leave. I have a life now there, friends and boyfriend. Also, by talking with the organization we found a program that could give me the chance to do my schooling here. The problem is that my parents do not agreed with me staying longer in South Korea and are begging me to come home.
Choice 1 : Come home

Working in a library.
In Australia, I have found the dream job, I work in a library! I get to read all day and learn about history, many cultures, our society, etc I also learn a lot about socialization since I am on my own. One day my boss asks me if I could do overtime for a big event that is coming soon, a famous writer is coming to my library to do a lecture and many people are expected.
Choice 1 : I agree to do extra hours
Choice 2 : I politely decline

No drama.
My boss is a little bit disappointed, but he understands and asks my colleague instead. The rest of my year in Australia goes well and I go home with great memories.
Choice 1 : Everything goes well!

The chance of a lifetime.
I accept to do extra hours and let me tell you I did not regret. The night of the event, the famous writer came and did great reading, everybody had a nice time even the employees like me. Later at night when I was cleaning, the writer and I got to talk, and we instantly clicked. I talk to him about my plans to be an anthropologist and the interest we and in common like the modern world and his politics, the economy, the democracy, etc. It was almost mid-night when he offered me to come with him on his world tour where he would teach me all he knows and help get a foot in the door once I would go back home. I of course accept and It was the best experience in my life.
